Socker Buster will open multiple socket to a TCP port often causing the application reponsible for these ports to crash, causing heap overflows, memory problems and often, full computer freezes. I know there is comething similar for UNIX called Octopus, I dont know this app well and in how they are different. I also found out that Team2600 had made something similar called MacOctopus. THIS IS NOT A COPY OF ANY APPLICATION, NOR A PORT. This application uses techniques and has features you will see nowhere else. However I have to give credits since Team2600 made a similar application before me.
How to use Socket Buster
First you can scan the victim's IP using the built-in TCP port scanner. It is over 10 times faster than ANY OTHER scans for the macintosh, however you should never scan over 150-160 ports at a time or you may experience freezes. When you know what ports are open, Chose a port to attack and enter a number of connections to make, you should limit this number of connections to a number under 200 or again, you may often experience crashing. (NOTE: The number of ports & floods possible vary between computers for different reasons, you should do a few test to learn how many you can make on your computer.)
